Shelter from the storm.
To optimise brake efficiency, Hägglunds has developed a cover for the band brakes used with our Viking motors. This prevents water from reaching the braking surfaces, which minimises brake efficiency losses. Such protection is important in wet and open conditions, such as the marine applications where Viking motors are commonly used.
The robust protective covers are made of 4 mm (0.158 in) glass fibre reinforced plastic, and are to be used with brake bracket BB-46 / BB-85.
